We Get To Savannah

Well, we left New Jersey a little later than we hoped--about 7:30--but we apparently left the stone in NJ, so it was all good.

It took us about 12.5 hours all told, which was good considering we stopped for an hour to have lunch at Applebee's in Emporia, Virginia
And we ran into two other situations. Before lunch, we had a guy drive beside us for a while to inform us that the carier on top of the car was opening and things were coming out. Despite Meredith's concern that her underwear would be flying down 95, we caught it before we lost anything, but it did require a trip to Lowe's in Richmond, VA. (And I take back what I said about Tom Tom, it really helped us get in and out quick.)
And there was also the unfortunate accident involving the pick-up truck and the cart full of goats. I can't write that without laughing, but everyone else thinks I am callous because we didn't know of all of the goats survived.

Anyway, we are at our hotel now and waiting for a pizza to be delivered so we can watch the American Idol results show. We do have our priorities!

We are hoping to get an even earlier start tomorrow and be at the beach by 12 or 1. That would be great.

Oh, and by the way, Bradley takes too literally that old saying ,"wherever you be, let the wind blow free." And Meredith can sleep anywhere. To wit:
